With this development, Marriott Bonvoy has been named the official hotel partner of the U.S. Soccer.
Through this pact, the body will exclusively work with Marriott Bonvoy hotel brands in the areas of lodging, rooms, and hotel loyalty programs, as per the conditions of the four-year deal.
The primary focus of the partnership will be Marriott Bonvoy’s SpringHill Suites by Marriott brand, which has more than 500 locations in the US and Canada.
The agreement will include events that US Soccer hosts or oversees, including matches between both women’s and men’s US national teams, the global SheBelieves Cup, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup club competition, and the SheBelieves women’s soccer summit.
Marriott Bonvoy will be available for activations during a number of the world’s premier football tournaments, as the US national teams will automatically qualify as the competition’s hosts.
Agent 160over90, the company’s worldwide marketing partnership agency, mediated the arrangement.
Dan Gaiman, US Soccer Vice President (VP) of Partnerships Development, stated, “Through its array of best-in-class hotels, Marriott Bonvoy and its SpringHill Suites by Marriott brand will unite our fans through enhanced travel experiences while also aligning with some of our most important organizational values, like growing the game, investing in grassroots soccer, and women’s empowerment.”
Martha Gill, Marriott International VP for Continent Marketing in the US and Canada, remarked, “We’re excited to partner with U.S. Soccer to elevate soccer fandom to a whole new level through unique benefits, and by increasing accessibility of the sport at the community level.”
