The Indian team competing at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be getting a customised team India emoji by Twitter on its social networking site.
With this announcement, team India will become the only fourth country to receive a customised emoji for its team.
Apart from this, Twitter has also launched several hashtag initiatives with the Tokyo Olympics 2020, where users can use and accumulate under a specific tag under its name in the explore section.
The various initiatives are underway to promote the Tokyo Olympics 2020 as much as possible on the platform, the customised Indian team emoji will attract many Indian users on the Twitter platform.
On the first day of the Games, India’s Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in women’s 49kg class weightlifting. Chanu winning the silver medal on the first day has set the right momentum for the Indian contingent in the remainder of Tokyo 2020.
The IOA has currently landed 14 sponsors for the Indian contingent with the Adani Group being the latest addition to the list. The Twitter initiative will prove beneficial for the IOA as it will retain the buzz for the Indian contingent on the micro-blogging platform.
