Tata Motors remains title sponsor of Maharashtra Open for fifth consecutive year

Tata Open Maharashtra will kick start in Pune on December 31.

The Indian multinational automotive company, Tata Motors has signed a partnership extension with Maharashtra Open, popularly known as Tata Open Maharashtra.

With this development, Tata Motors will be the title sponsor of Asia’s only ATP 250 for the fifth consecutive year. Tata Open Maharashtra will kick start in Pune on December 31. The Indian automotive behemoth also unveiled that its flagship SUV ‘Tata Safari’ will be the official partner for the competition.

Sanjay Khandare, Treasurer of Tata Open Maharashtra, who is also an IAS officer, said, “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with one of India’s most trusted brands, Tata Motors for the fifth year in a row now. This adds to the credibility, trust and partnership that we share with them as we celebrate the milestone fifth year of the tournament in Pune. We are grateful for their continued belief in us and support in the journey of this tournament which is set to witness some of the big stars in action from across the world, once again.”

With this partnership renewal, Tata Motors has enhanced its commitment towards tennis. Maharashtra Open is owned by IMG and handled by RISE Worldwide, which is helmed by Reliance. The highly anticipated competition will take place at the Balewadi Stadium by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) in collaboration with the state government.
