The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) confirms that Sinopec Lubricant Company will be a major sponsor for the upcoming ITTF Men’s World Cup in November 2020. The tournament is set to take place in Dishang.
Sinopec is the largest lubricant manufacturer in China. They are renowned for using the leading technology to produce lubricants that are used in the aviation and transport industries.
It is not the first time Sinopec is sponsoring a big sports tournament in China. Sinopec was also the official sponsor for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. They are also set to support the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
In an official statement, Sinopec said, “Our company has built a close and dynamic association with the sports industry over the years, and now we are delighted to be partnering with table tennis, which has the reputation of being our national game in China. I hope that our role as Major Sponsor will resonate with sports fans and bring more attention and support for table tennis.”
