The Global Chess League (GCL) unit, SG Alpine Warriors have inked sponsorship agreements with three new brands for the forthcoming season.
In this deal, APL Apollo has been appointed as the head sponsor of the GCL team while Share India and Prayag will serve as sponsors.
APL Apollo is India’s top producer of structural steel tubes, with an annual production capacity of 3.6 million tonnes. The brand serves domestic customers as well as clients in 20 other countries through its extensive distribution network, which includes warehouses and branch offices in 29 locations across the nation.

The GCL is all set to commence its first-ever season on June 21. The tournament will see SG Alpine Warriors play their first move on the chess board against Balan Alaskan Knights on June 23.
