Second edition of Women’s Premier League all set to commence on February 23

WPL 2024 will have the same structure as the previous one, with the top three sides in the league stage earning a spot in the playoffs.

The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is all set to kick off on February 23 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI), finalists from the previous season, will square off in the opening game of the upcoming edition. Following the completion of the Bengaluru phase, the WPL train will reach New Delhi on March 5.

Additionally, the eliminator and final matches will take place in New Delhi on March 15 and 17, respectively, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

February 24: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs UP Warriors
February 25: Gujarat Giants vs Mumbai Indians
February 26: UP Warriors vs Delhi Capitals
February 27: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Giants
February 28: Mumbai Indians vs UP Warriors
February 29: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals
March 1: UP Warriors vs Gujarat Giants

WPL 2024 will have the same structure as the previous one, with the top three sides in the league stage earning a spot in the playoffs. The league table winner advances directly to the championship game, while the runner-up and third-place teams will play the Eliminator on March 15.

Mumbai Indians, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated the Delhi-based side by a seven-wicket margin to win the first edition of the Women’s Premier League.
