SAP to sharpen operational efficiency of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS in multi-year deal

Following the arrangement, SAP has been named the official partner of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.

The Formula 1 team, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has announced a new collaboration with the German multi-national software company, SAP.

Following the arrangement, SAP has been named the official partner of the F1 team.

To boost performance, SAP and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team are collaborating to expedite operational efficiency and unleash new data insights. The team’s technological base, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, which allows the team to investigate how cloud solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) from SAP can help predict and inform choices, optimise resources, and future-proof their IT infrastructure.

Utilising SAP S/4HANA Finance to effectively allocate, conserve, and deploy resources will help the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team negotiate this challenging road. The group can estimate expenses, anticipate needs for the final budget, and optimise the supply chain and stocked items thanks to the integration of SAP Business AI capability.

Additionally, by combining a single view of data and systems from several sources throughout the company, the team can develop a transparent and intelligent business architecture by utilising SAP Build solutions and the SAP Business Technology Platform. By doing this, it may be possible to reduce the lead times for important car parts, ensuring a smooth supply of parts on race weekends.
