Qatar Football Association prolongs partnership with Shell

As per the extension, Shell Qatar will continue to be the main partner of the apex body of football for another four years.

The apex body of football in Qatar, the Qatar Football Association has announced its partnership extension with the British multinational oil and gas entity, Shell.

As per the extension, Shell Qatar will continue to be the main partner of the apex body of football for another four years.

The announcement of this extension was done in the signing ceremony which was held on Tuesday, May 9. The ceremony was attended by Mr Hussain Al-Hajji from Shell Qatar and Mr Mansour Al-Ansari from the Qatar Football Association. 

The Qatar Football Association and Shell Qatar cooperation are famous for their innovative programmes throughout Qatar. 

Mr Mansour Al-Ansari, Qatar Football Association, said, “We have had a partnership with Shell Qatar for nearly two decades. This new signing strengthens this fruitful relationship for another four prosperous years. Shell Qatar’s genuine contribution to promoting football and sports is highly appreciated by us. They are well-known for their involvement in initiatives that actively contribute to the Qatari community and help build a brighter future in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. The Qatar Football Association extends its gratitude to them for their continuous support in making the Amir Cup a success.”

Hussain Al-Hajji, General Manager of External Relations and Government Affairs at Shell Qatar, said, “The Qatar Football Association is an important partner for us. We share similar values with the Qatar Football Association, and this is one of Shell’s strongest sports partnerships. By working together, we look forward to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among Qatari youth through engaging with the fans through a variety of activities in the coming years.”
