The SA20 franchise, Pretoria Capitals have forged a sponsorship association with the Johannesburg-based airline, Airlink.
Following the deal, the brand has been named the official airline partner of the Capitals for the upcoming season.
The team announced the deal via its social media handles with the caption, “𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭! 🛫 Pretoria Capitals family is delighted to have Airlink on board as our Official Airline Partner.”
Airlink’s primary activity is to connect smaller, remote regions with larger hub airports. It has grown to include flights on larger, mainline routes as well. The airline operates over 60 routes that serve more than 45 destinations in Southern Africa. It became Africa’s second-biggest airline by number of flights and third-largest by number of seats in January 2021.
The Wayne Parnell-led side will begin its SA20 2024 journey against
Paarl Royals on January 12 at the Boland Park in Paarl. With 32 points gained from 10 victories, the team topped the points table in the previous year’s competition. However, the side was defeated by four wickets in the finals by Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
