PKL 2023-24: U Mumba onboard 92.7 Big FM as official radio partner

U-Mumba will be commencing their season 10 campaign against UP Yoddha in Ahmedabad on Saturday, December 2.

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) side, U Mumba have secured a partnership with the renowned Indian radio network, 92.7 Big FM.

As per the deal, 92.7 Big FM has been named the official radio partner of the Mumbai-based team in the upcoming PKL season.

The unit through its social media networks confirmed the alliance with a caption, “मंडळी, say goodbye to the boring tunes and hello to the real Mumbai beats! 🎶 .Thrilled to have @bigfmindia on board as our official Radio Partner for the milestone Season 10.🥳🎉”.

BIG FM, one of the largest radio stations in India, mostly broadcasts at 92.7 MHz. It is a part of Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd., a national broadcast network with 58 stations that covers over 1.9K towns and 1.2 lakh villages. Nationwide, more than 34 crore Indians have access to it. The radio network was launched in September 2006.

The unit has always been a dominant force in the marquee kabaddi tournament and has shown some remarkable performances in every season. However, the 2022 edition was just an aberration, where the 2015 winners ended their campaign in the ninth rank of the points table.

The kabaddi side from the City of Dreams will be looking forward to lifting its game in season 10 and started to tick the boxes for it from the auction table itself. The Mumbai-based side added players like Girish Maruti Ernak, Mahender Singh, Guman Singh, Amirmohammad Zafardanesh, Alireza Mirzaeian, Rohit Yadav, Kunal, Visvanath V., and Saurav Parthe to its player roster. These players along with the retained campaigners like Surinder Singh, Jai Bhagwan, Rinku, and Heidarali Ekrami will be looking forward to helping the Mumbai-based unit to lift the silverware for the second time after 2015.
