Palermo FC ink alliance with SumUp

With this development, SumUp has been named the sponsorship partner of Palermo FC for the Serie B 2023-24 season. 

The Italian football club, Palermo FC have inked an alliance with the global fintech entity, SumUp. 

With this development, SumUp has been named the sponsorship partner of Le Aquile for the Serie B 2023-24 season. 

As per the deal, the company’s logo will be visible throughout Palermo’s Renzo Barbera stadium as well as in specifically allocated advertising locations. 

As part of the newly agreed-upon arrangement, SumUp intends to provide specific benefits to local businesses. This includes dedicated promotions and bespoke deals created by SumUp specifically to meet the needs of businesses in the zone. 

SumUp’s collaboration with Palermo FC is significant, especially given the growing demand for cashless payments in Sicily’s provinces. According to the firm, cities such as Ragusa, Messina, Trapani, and Palermo have the greatest percentages of contactless payments done using cards or smartphones.
