The Ligue 1 team, Olympique de Marseille have announced a new sponsorship agreement with the betting platform, Mojabet. Following this deal, the brand is set to serve as the club’s official African betting partner for the next six years.
The operator’s objective to increase its online offers for African sports fans will now be furthered with the assistance of the Ligue 1 team.
Pedro Iriondo, Strategy & Development General Manager, Olympique de Marseille, said, “We are delighted to welcome Mojabet as a regional betting partner in Africa. We believe Mojabet will be an ideal partner for the club, and together we will be able to reach and engage more with our fan base in Africa. We share similar values around the beautiful game to achieve our goals. We look forward to developing our cooperation with Mojabet with top-class content. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to continuing the club’s history with the African continent.”
The collaboration intends to emphasise Mojabet’s dedication to global expansion and the encouragement of fan-friendly interaction within an ‘ethical gaming culture’.
Digital overlay technology, which targets people in the area by geo-locating advertisements displayed on the club’s LED screens, will also be advantageous to the brand. During all French top-division games played at the Orange Velodrome, Mojabet can use this technology throughout Africa.
Moja Group CEO, Paris Anatolitis, commented, “Olympique de Marseille is a world-renowned club that has deep roots within the African football landscape and communities. Mojabet has established a dominant position across the continent but also has ambitious growth plans. OM is the perfect strategic partner for us to help us nurture even stronger fan connections through unique live experiences, and complement our highly engaging online betting opportunities. Our OM8 competition offers a glimpse of the engaging initiatives we’ll be running to give something back to our customers.”
