NorthEast United FC pen down a partnership extension with Meghalaya Tourism

Following the renewal, Meghalaya Tourism continues to be the official partner of NorthEast United FC.

The Indian Super League (ISL) team, NorthEast United have announced a partnership extension with the Meghalaya state tourism board, Meghalaya Tourism.

Following the renewal, Meghalaya Tourism continues to be the official partner of the Indian top-flight football club. The partnership has now been extended for the upcoming two years. 

The fruitful partnership that was established last year is renewed to highlight the close and enduring relationship between the club and Meghalaya. 

This collaboration perfectly embodies the spirit of NorthEast United FC’s tagline, “8 States, 1 United.” This partnership underscores the common dedication to togetherness, just as Meghalaya’s varied landscapes and brilliant hues blend perfectly to create a tapestry of beauty, tranquillity, and progress.

As per the deal extension, the logo of Meghalaya Tourism will be featured on the matchday jerseys of the team. 

Prior to this development, the unit had already forged its alliance with Trak-Only.

Speaking on the partnership renewal, Dr Vijay Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, stated, “Meghalaya is thrilled to partner with NorthEast United FC once again. Football unites our region, and this partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and promoting the sport we love. We look forward to an exciting season ahead.”

The state tourism board, Meghalaya Tourism aims to foster tourism in the state of Meghalaya which is known for its picturesque landscapes along with rich cultural tapestry.

The Highlanders will start their 2023-24 campaign against Mumbai City FC on September 24 at their home turf, Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.
