Mercury/13 acquires controlling stake in Serie A Femminile’s FC Como Women

The acquisition has marked Mercury/13's first step towards its ambitious goal of becoming a leading force in women's football across Europe and Latin America.

The Serie A Femminile club, FC Como Women have received a significant investment from the women’s soccer investment group, Mercury/13.

Following the development, the investment group has received a controlling stake in the women’s Italian top-flight football team. The acquisition has marked the group’s first step towards its ambitious goal of becoming a leading force in women’s football across Europe and Latin America.

“For years, I’ve dreamed of this club having what it truly deserves. Since I met Victoire and Mario, I’ve been fascinated by their vision and determination they have to transform women’s football. It has brought me great joy and pride that a group with the calibre of talent of Mercury/13’s has chosen us as their first investment. For many years, I’ve held this dream in my mind, and I see in this project the opportunity for us all to come together and take the team to the top of European football. This acquisition signifies a significant stride in the evolution of women’s soccer. Mercury/13’s investment reflects the growing global interest and financial backing in the sport, paving the way for greater visibility, competitiveness, and opportunities for female athletes and clubs worldwide.

Founded in August 2023, Mercury/13 is led by Co-CEOs Victoire Cogevina Reynal and Mario Malavé, bringing together individuals with expertise in sports entrepreneurship and investment. The group pledges $100 million towards acquiring controlling stakes in various women’s soccer franchises, aiming to build a robust and influential organization within the sport.

The Comobianche finished the regular season in seventh place and are now battling to avoid relegation in the playoffs. Their recent 4-3 win against Pomigliano C.F. offers hope, as they look to secure victories in their upcoming matches against Napoli Femminile, U.C. Sampdoria Women, and AC Milan Women.
