The professional US baseball tournament, Major League Baseball (MLB) has revealed that New York Life, the largest mutual life insurer in America, has been named the official financial guidance partner of the league in a multi-year association.
Under the agreement, New York Life has also been designated as an official sponsor of Little League and the Little League World Series and named the presenting sponsor of the MLB Little League Classic held annually.

As per the agreement, New York Life and MLB will organize unique fan engagement opportunities, provide giveaways, highlight community achievements, and foster the development of baseball among young players. Enthusiasts can anticipate thrilling chances to connect with beloved teams, players, and financial experts throughout the baseball season.
In the upcoming years, the life insurer and the baseball competition will join forces on several initiatives. They will honour young fans attending their first baseball game through the National First Game Certificate Program. Acknowledgement will be given to exceptional youth athletes at the Little League World Series and MLB Little League Classic. The legacy of Black baseball at MLB at Rickwood Field will be commemorated. Financial education will be facilitated by connecting New York Life’s vast network of over 12,000 financial professionals with local Little League Baseball and Softball programs.

MLB recently solidified international partnerships, by partnering with the Japanese hospitality company, JTB. The entity will serve as the official sponsor of MLB’s World Tour.
The 2024 MLB regular season is scheduled to kick off on March 20-21, 2024, with an exclusive two-game series featuring Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres in Seoul, South Korea. Subsequently, the opening day will unfold the following week, with all 30 teams hitting the field on Thursday, March 28.
