Liverpool FC, Cadbury extend collaboration; commit to continue serving local community

Both, Liverpool FC and Cadbury will continue to help local individuals and companies as part of the new agreement.

The Premier League (PL) team, Liverpool FC (LFC) have announced a partnership extension with the chocolate manufacturing company, Cadbury.

Both sides will continue to help local individuals and companies as part of the new agreement.

As part of the renewed collaboration, Cadbury will continue to support LFC supporters and the neighbourhood by giving back in line with its generosity motto, ‘Glass and a Half in Everyone.’

The collaboration began in 2020 when Cadbury produced a limited-edition Liverpool FC Champions Dairy Milk bar that could be purchased from authorised club shops. These bars’ sales revenue contributed $25,000 towards the start-up costs of the Liverpool FC Virtual Employability Programme.

Along with the money raised, Cadbury staff members have volunteered to serve as mentors on the Official Liverpool FC Works Programme, giving participants advice and insight into the real world of business.

In the upcoming years of the partnership extension, Cadbury and LFC will continue to put their attention on expanding the Liverpool FC Works Programme in the hopes of assisting even more young people from the Liverpool City Region in being ready for the workforce.

As part of the partnership’s extension, Cadbury and the team will continue to capitalise on their three years of accomplishments by giving fans greater and better experiences in the run-up to Cadbury’s 200th birthday festivities in 2024.

In August, Cadbury will begin its largest-ever ticket giveaway, giving supporters of Liverpool FC an opportunity to support the Reds and take in the enchantment of Anfield. Every week, fans will have the opportunity to win thousands of prizes, including cash, match tickets, and hospitality opportunities.

Ben Latty, Commercial Director at Liverpool FC, said, “I am delighted to announce the extension of our partnership with Cadbury. Cadbury has shown its commitment to providing for our local community, working closely with the LFC Foundation on the LFC Works Programme. We look forward to continuing to work together and strengthening our meaningful partnership further over the next three years.”

Nick Rogers, Cadbury Marketing and Sponsorship Lead for Northern Europe at Mondelēz International, said, “We are proud to renew our partnership with Liverpool FC, dedicated to equipping young people with vital employability skills. This collaboration reflects our commitment to empowering the next generation. Cadbury employees are driven by generosity, and over the years have mentored members of the Liverpool community to help them find employment. Together, we hope to create more opportunities for the local communities to thrive, which allows us to reaffirm Cadbury’s dedication to making a positive difference.”
