In the 46th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Punjab Kings (PBKS) will host Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali tonight i.e. Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 PM IST.
PBKS have played nine matches so far and have won five out of them. The team has 10 points and has secured sixth place in the standings. PBKS haven’t had a consistent season thus far, despite occasional victories. They narrowly defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their most recent match, edging them out in a high-scoring contest with a win on the final ball, thanks to Sikandar Raza‘s final ball strike. Despite the fact that their openers performed well in the first few games, they currently appear to be on the decline. However, after some awful performances early in the season, the lower middle order is presently in somewhat better shape. Shikhar Dhawan needs to rediscover the form that he displayed initially in the edition. All units must work together for the team to go miles this season.
The five-time IPL winners, on the other hand, have four wins from their first eight games in the current edition, which is also an adequate track.
