Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will decide the second finalist of the season, will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Friday, May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 7:30 PM IST.
Royal Challengers Bangalore barged into the second qualifier of the IPL 2022 following a thumping victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Wednesday. Rajat Patidar‘s form at the top of the order, along with the exploits of RCB’s best batsman in the season Dinesh Karthik are good signs for the team moving ahead. The bowlers conceded runs but were impressive at the latter stage of the game. With just a couple of victories away from clinching the maiden title, Faf du Plessis will count on his in-form players to step up on the crucial stage of the edition.
On the contrary, Rajasthan Royals will feature in the second qualifier after losing against Gujarat Giants (GT) earlier this week. The inaugural champions finished second on the points table at the end of the league stage, which gave them one more opportunity to acquire a spot in the final frontier of the season. After a string of low scores, Jos Butler‘s willow contributed heavily, which are good signs for the one-time champion. The bowling unit of the team will be a major concern for the unit going forward, as all the five bowlers conceded runs at more than eight runs per over. 16 runs off the last over were chased within the first three balls in RR’s previous game. Sanju Samson and the team will aim to script the 2008 glory by winning the next two games.

RCB have the upper hand in the head-to-head competition. The two teams have squared off in 27 games, Bangalore won 13 fixtures while Rajasthan emerged victorious on 11 occasions.
In the last outing between the two teams, which took place earlier this season, RCB won the game by four wickets.
