In the Sri Lanka tour of India 2023, the first ODI will take place on Tuesday, January 10 at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati at 1:30 PM IST.
This ODI series will be highly anticipated among Indian fans as it marks Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli‘s return, the former was injured last year while the latter was rested for the T20I series. The yorker specialist Jasprit Bumrah also returns to the blue jersey following his back injury. The Men in Blue are off to a flyer start in 2023 with the T20I series victory and with big guns returning to the squad, the Indian camp and fans will look for a similar performance in the 50-over format too.
On the other end, Sri Lanka were completely outplayed in the final T20I after putting up a solid performance in the first two fixtures of the series. The skipper Dasun Shanaka led from the front with the bat and also bowled effectively on several occasions. The Sri Lankan unit will be looking forward to doing something special against the star-studded Indian team to bag their first series victory of the year.
