In the third T20 match of the South Africa tour of India 2022, South Africa defeated India by 49 runs at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

After winning the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma opted to field first. The decision backfired as South African batters displayed a hardcore performance. Quinton de Kock (68) was once again magnificent on Indian soil as he smashed a fifty which included six fours and four sixes. Rilee Rossouw (100) was absolutely magnificent tonight. The right-handed batter smashed an unbelievable century which had eight maximums and seven fours. This superpower knock helped Proteas reach a total of 227/3 in 20 overs. In reply, no one really had an impactful knock other than Dinesh Karthik (46), who played an amazing knock only to give away his wicket in a cheap manner. DK was looking in fine form and was hitting boundaries all over the park but couldn’t take the inning till the end. Other than him, Rishabh Pant (27) also looked in some touch but even the birthday boy couldn’t help the Men in Blue to reach anywhere near the target.
