ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 India vs Canada: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

The Men in Blue will play Canada for the first time in the T20I format.

In the 33rd match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Canada are set to play India at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, tonight, i.e., June 15 at 8 PM IST.

The Men in Blue are once again having an impeccable outing in the World Cup and fans are also quite accustomed to this. Just like in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, now in the T20I format as well, the unit is winning back-to-back games. From three games, the Rohit Sharma-led side has secured six points and is through to the Super Eights stage. While the forecast for the match is not promising and thunderstorms are predicted, the Indian team can have less to no problems about it. However, India would prefer to get some practice under clear skies before taking on Afghanistan and Australia later this month. If the match is played, it would provide another opportunity for players like Rohit, Virat Kohli, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and others who are yet to produce much with the bat. It would also be intriguing to find out whether Yashasvi Jaiswal returns to the team and let Virat bat at number three. Nonetheless, the side with the ball has been doing great with Jasprit Bumrah leading the lineup along with Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj following.

For Canada, the campaign has been much of a roller coaster ride as they won one but lost two games. The unit would think if they had won its close encounter against the USA, its prospects would be different now, having beaten Ireland by 12 runs. Batters including Nicholas Kirton, Pargat Singh, Aaron Johnson and Shreyas Movva have performed admirably and will look to now impress certain title-winning contenders. The Saad Bin Zafar-led side will also back its bowlers under the overcast conditions to keep the Indian batters under some pressure. Be it Jeremy Gordon, Dillon Heyliger or anyone else, the team will aim to exit the competition with a strong showing and a sense of accomplishment.
