The record-breaking viewership on the very first game was much anticipated as the premier OTT platform is providing the streaming of the marquee tournament free for the first time. 

This time around, to fetch more viewers the platform has also introduced the feature of a data saver, that will help the viewers to stream all the games, without wasting much internet data.

The tournament started with a bang, as New Zealand thrashed the reigning champions, England by nine wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Kiwis secured a massive win against the Three Lions by chasing 283 in 36.2 overs, all courtesy of sensational centuries from Devon Conway (152)* and Rachin Ravindra (123)*.
