FIH, Nike ink multi-year agreement

As per the accord, Nike will be seen delivering equipment to the FIH’s officials and umpires.

The global body for hockey, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has signed an agreement with the American multinational sports equipment and apparel developer, Nike, for the next four years. 

As per the accord, Nike will be seen delivering equipment to FIH’s officials and umpires.

According to the agreement, Nike said it will look into ways to grow the partnership to increase youth engagement and assist FIH’s efforts to continue promoting women’s hockey around the globe.

Expressing his delight at this new alliance, Tayyab Ikram, President, FIH, stated, “The brand’s global scale, presence, and reputation propels hockey into a dimension that certainly allows us to look to the future with even more optimism. Nike’s commitment to young people and women in particular is perfectly in line with the FIH’s values of gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. I am convinced that the signing of this partnership marks the beginning of a long-lasting, fruitful, and mutually beneficial collaboration.”

Nike is an athletic footwear and apparel company with its headquarters located close to Beaverton, Oregon. With sales of more than US$46 billion in its fiscal year 2022, it is the biggest global seller of sports equipment and athletic shoes and clothes.
