While sports enthusiasts are feasting over multiple cricket, football, and badminton competitions, the racing fans will look forward to the inaugural edition of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) in December 2023.
ISRL was unveiled earlier this year in June by the Bollywood actor, Arjun Kapoor in collaboration with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). The first-ever season of the competition, so far, has CEAT as a title sponsor and Toyota Hilux as the league’s official car partner.
Following the announcement of the inaugural season, the organizers named RISE Worldwide as its sole Broadcast Production Partner. Earlier this month, the league unveiled a three-year investment plan of INR 150 crore that includes developing world-class racing infrastructure, fostering grassroots growth, and guaranteeing that world-class events are staged across India over the next three years.
SG Speed Racers, Gujarat Trailblazers, Panchshil Racing and BigRock Motorsport are the four franchises announced by the ISRL, so far.
Compounding on the success of the recently conducted MotoGP Bharat, the organizers of ISRL also aim to make a mark in their competition’s first season.
