This sets the global streaming record on the platform, which is the highest-ever record across all formats.

Before this clash, both sides faced off against each other in Colombo in the Asia Cup 2023, where a concurrent viewership of 2.8 crore was registered on Disney+ Hotstar.

The two-time World Cup winners have kept their record intact against their arch-rivals in the 50-over World Cup on Saturday. The enthralling fixture also witnessed a massive counter-attack by the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who smashed the Pakistani bowlers in all corners of the ground. India beat the 1992 champions by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium and sharpened their scoreline by 8-0 in the ODI World Cup games against the neighbours.
