Canal+ retains PGA Tour broadcast rights till 2030 in France

The media rights extension between Canal+ and PGA Tour will last until 2030.

The French TV network, Canal+ has secured a renewal of its broadcast rights for the PGA tour in France.

The media rights extension between the two bodies will last until 2030. For nearly 40 years, the broadcaster has had the rights to the PGA Tour.

The Ryder Cup, the President’s Cup, and every DP World Tour event are among the four major golf competitions that Canal+ televises in France. Nearly 3,000 hours of live activity are aired by the broadcaster annually, along with two to three events every week.

The French broadcasting giant has an illustrious kitty of broadcasting various sporting tournaments in France like Premier League, Formula1, and many other events.

Canal+ is a high-end French television network that was founded in 1984. The entity is wholly owned by Vivendi’s Groupe Canal+ business. A range of content is aired on the station, the majority of which is encrypted. Through satellite, Canal+ and Canal+ Clair offer free unencrypted programming access.
