Baxi prolongs sponsorship pact with Atlético de Madrid Femenino

The agreement between Baxi and Atlético de Madrid Femenino was first signed in 2020, and has now been extended till June 2026, for the next three seasons. 

The European manufacturer of domestic and commercial water and space heating systems, Baxi has announced a partnership extension with the Spanish women’s football club, Atlético de Madrid Femenino.

Following the extension, the branding of the company continues to be featured on the shorts of the “Las Colchoneras”. 

Jaume Alcover, Baxi’s Marketing Director, said, “Sports is one of the main paths that Baxi has chosen to grow its brand and get closer to our customers, both those who already are and those who are that they will be. We have decided to commit to women’s sports and for this reason we sponsor the Atlético de Madrid football team and Baxi Ferrol, a women’s basketball league team. We also sponsor Baxi Manresa, a club in the men’s basketball league”.

Lola Romero, Director of Atlético de Madrid Femenino, said, “We are very proud of the continuity of this agreement. For our club, this renewal means the confidence that Baxi has placed in the first team. After a difficult year in sporting terms, the brand shows us that it feels committed to trusting the team and this gives us a lot of strength to start the season together.”

Baxi is a subsidiary of BDR Thermea, one of Europe’s major manufacturers and distributors of water and space heating systems. The entity employs 6,400 employees across Europe and has a revenue of more than €1.2 billion. The company holds large market shares in all main continental territories as well as the United Kingdom. It is also entering new markets like Romania and Argentina, and it already has a direct presence in Russia, China, and the Czech Republic. It has joint venture ties in emerging countries such as Turkey.
