Following the agreement, Amul has been named the principal sponsor of the Afghanistan cricket team for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
The branding of the company will be featured on the leading arm of the jerseys as well as the training kits, which will be worn by the Afghani players during their World Cup encounters.
Speaking on the alliance, Mr. Naseeb Khan, CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, said, “Amul has been ACB’s commercial partner in the past and we are pleased to have them on board again for this year’s event as well. This is a positive move for the ACB & Firebird ESM and we will be looking forward to working with Amul in the future”.

The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led team will be starting its World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on Saturday, October 7 at the picturesque HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
