AIFF inks ‘strategic alliance’ MoU with Qatar Football Association

The Indian football governing council, All India Football Federation (AIFF) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Football Association (QFA).

This deal, which is being called a ‘strategic alliance’, has been signed for the mutual benefit of both countries.

The newly-elected AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey and Secretary General Shaji Prabhakaran had a meeting with QFA President Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani and General Secretary Mansoor Al-Ansari in Doha.

Mr Chaubey, “I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the QFA President for his valuable time to discuss collaboration possibilities between India and Qatar. I am sure this would be beneficial to both countries in the long run.”

AIFF has been on a roll ever since the ban has been removed. Mr Chaubey and Mr Prabhakaran even had a meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino to discuss the future of Indian football and develop a proper plan.
