Kerala Blasters inaugurate new academy

Kerala Blasters want to train the best talent in India under them at the new academy.

The Indian Super League team Kerala Blasters have started a new training facility called the Sports Kerala Elite Residential Football Academy at GV Raja Sports School at Thiruvananthapuram. The club has started this association with the government of Kerala (DSYA). The centre was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and chaired by Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman on September 16th.

This new training facility will have all the provisions and similar to the level of European clubs. They will provide turf facilities, in-door arrangements, gymnasium, ice-baths and such world-class infrastructure. Kerala Blasters aim to make the state the destination for upcoming and budding footballers in the nation and that’s the reason they want to attract youngsters. The academy will currently host the U-14 and U-17 teams along with the U-20 squad.

The collaboration between the government of Kerala and the Kerala Blasters FC will be extremely helpful for the grassroots level programs in India. The club will be able to bring in coaches and trainers from foreign countries and train the rising stars to the best of their abilities.
