ZOWIE becomes newest partner of VCT EMEA

ZOWIE has been named as the exclusive display sponsor.

Riot Games‘ VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has teamed up with ZOWIE, the e-sports business of BenQ, a telecommunications and electronics company.

For the remaining of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 schedule, ZOWIE has been named as the exclusive display sponsor.

The agreement arrived just ahead of the tournament’s fifth round of fixtures. Twelve top sides from Europe such as, Gambit E-sports, Acend, Fnatic, G2 E-sports and Team Liquid, are fighting for a part of €200,000 (£169,900) and two entries in the second VCT Masters competition, which will be held in Copenhagen.

ZOWIE will provide a feature episode as the exclusive display sponsor during Stage 2 of the VCT EMEA Challengers and the Last Chance Qualifiers in August. VCT’s social media platforms shall feature the best five performances each week.

Riot Games has added ZOWIE as the third sponsor for the 2022 VCT EMEA campaign. It joins Amazon’s Prime Gaming and Aim Lab, a performance and practice portal for first-person shooters.

The inclusion of VCT in ZOWIE’s collaboration lineup is a great asset. The company just became the monitor sponsor of the ESL Pro League’s 15th season, and it also collaborated with the event organizer PGL for the Stockholm Major in 2021.

Christian Sponziello, Business Development and Partnerships Manager at Riot Games, said, “We are delighted to welcome ZOWIE as the Official Display Partner for the remaining VCT EMEA 2022 season.

“We’re looking forward to collaborating closely and highlighting some of the best moments from both VCT EMEA Challengers Stage 2 and the VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifiers in ZOWIE ’s Top 5 content series.”

Riot Games announced in May that Copenhagen and Istanbul would host VALORANT’s next major tournaments on the VCT calendar. In September, the Turkish metropolis shall stage the season-ending Champions event.
