The 40th edition of WrestleMania, the greatest pay-per-view (PPV) event in World Wrestling Entertainment‘s (WWE) history, is scheduled on April 7 and 8, starting from 4:30 AM IST.
This will be the second WrestleMania in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, following WrestleMania XV in 1999.
This will be the first WrestleMania event since the business was sold to Endeavour. The sale was completed in September 2023, with WWE and Endeavor’s other company, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), merging to form TKO Group Holdings. As a result, this is the first WrestleMania to take place under the TKO brand and without the McMahon family controlling WWE.
On Night 1, Roman Reigns and The Rock will face Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the main event, while Night 2 will feature Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the Universal Championship. Every week, the Road to WrestleMania intensified with increasingly violent and dramatic promos and acts between the superstars involved.
Moreover, Drew McIntyre, the Scottish Warrior, will finally have the opportunity to triumph in front of a large audience when he challenges the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, at The Showcase of the Immortals.
Not to be forgotten, Mami meets The Man for the Women’s World Title in what ought to be a historic title match. After chasing the titleholder for some time, Becky Lynch now has the opportunity to confront her on the biggest of stages. The Man will have to defeat Rhea Ripley, who has appeared invincible since defeating Charlotte Flair to win the belt last year.
Bayley, on the other hand, is determined to win the WWE Women’s Championship when she faces off against her former ally IYO SKY at WrestleMania.
Many titles are at stake in the 40th edition of the epic carnival, notably the World Heavyweight title, the United States championship, the Intercontinental title, the Undisputed Tag Team titles, and both women’s titles. Let’s take a look at the match cards for WrestleMania XL.
