LAFC names BMO as stadium naming rights partner

LAFC, the NWSL's Angel City Football Club (ACFC), and other sporting events and concerts will all share BMO Stadium as their home.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) team, Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) have announced the stadium naming rights association with BMO.

LAFC, the NWSL’s Angel City Football Club (ACFC), and other sporting events and concerts will all share BMO Stadium as their home.

Every MLS regular-season and postseason game played at LAFC’s stadium since it opened in 2018 has been sold out. The stadium has received high accolades for its design, amenities, and atmosphere, which is partly because of the loudest and most devoted fans who stand in a particular area of the fabled North End of the arena.

LAFC Co-President & CBO Larry Freedman, said, “Our partnership with BMO unites two organisations that share a vision and commitment to be leaders and forces for good in our community. BMO Stadium is the premier outdoor arena in the Heart of Los Angeles, having established itself as a world-class sports and entertainment venue that hosts iconic concerts, events and top-level soccer. We are excited to begin our partnership with BMO, and to welcome our fans, supporters and the people of the city of Los Angeles to BMO Stadium.”

The agreement complements the US expansion pillar of BMO’s North American business plan and intends to strengthen the company’s dedication to developing the sport across North America.

Cameron Fowler, Chief Strategy and Operations Officer of BMO, commented, “BMO is thrilled to forge this partnership with LAFC, which reinforces our bank’s commitment to growing the game of soccer across North America. Through BMO Stadium, we will share our passion for soccer and commitment to the Los Angeles community while bringing to life our Purpose, to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life. We look forward to supporting LAFC and its fans this season and beyond.”

In addition, BMO, the team’s exclusive and official bank, will provide assistance to LAFC supporters and the neighbourhood during the entire season.
