KIA obtains naming rights to Orlando Magic’s home stadium

As part of the association, KIA and the Magic will work together on community programmes and create new internal and exterior signage as well as a KIA Terrace hospitality area.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) team, Orlando Magic have expanded their partnership with the South Korean global multinational automobile brand, KIA.

Following the expansion, the Orlando Magic’s home stadium has been renamed KIA Center. 

As part of the association, KIA and the Magic will work together on community programmes and create new internal and exterior signage as well as a KIA Terrace hospitality area.

The cosmetics and health goods company Amway, which has owned the arena’s naming rights since 2009, is replaced by KIA.

Currently, the automobile brand is also the official automotive partner of the NBA team.

Alex Martins, Orlando Magic’s Chief Executive, said, “The Orlando Magic and Kia America have been proud partners for several years and we share in the excitement of Kia’s success and growth. We look forward to our expanded partnership which allows Kia to drive its brand forward.”

Sean Yoon, KIA America Chief Executive President, commented, “The naming of the Kia Center is another example of the strength of our partnership and provides us a year-round sports and entertainment platform for our fans.”

Located in Seoul, South Korea, Kia and Kia Motors Corporation is a multinational automotive manufacturer from South Korea. With sales of more than 2.8 million vehicles in 2019, it is the second-biggest automaker in South Korea, behind its parent firm, Hyundai Motor Group.
