Given the team's stature, Chennai Singams have secured lucrative sponsorships for the debut ISPL season.

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team, Chennai Singams was the highest bidder at the auction, spending INR 96.4 lakh out of an INR 1 crore budget.

The Chennai-based unit, which is owned by Rajdipkumar Gupta, Sandipkumar Gupta, and actor Suriya Sivakumar, is one of six teams competing in the street-to-stadium league’s debut season, which is scheduled to begin on March 6 in Mumbai.

Sumeet Dhekale, one of the most expensive players, was acquired by Chennai Singams for INR 19 lakh. Ketan Mhatre, Farman Khan, Dilip Binjwa, Sanjay Kanojjiya, and Sagar Ali were the next most expensive players, costing INR 16.5 lakh, 10.5 lakh, and INR 4.4 lakh, respectively.

Given the team’s stature, the promoters secured lucrative sponsorships for the debut season.

On signings, Chennai Singams Co-owner, Rajdip Gupta, said, “The team and I are very elated to join hands with such esteemed global brands.
