One of the recent developments in India’s elite tennis competition, Tennis Premier League (TPL), the legendary tennis player, Leander Paes acquired a team from Kolkata named Bengal Wizards. Paes co-owns the TPL team with the Wardwizard Group, helmed by Chairman, Mr Yatin Gupte.

TPL is approaching its fifth season which will take place later this year in December 2023. The recently announced Kolkata-based team will be going against the likes of the Sonali Bendre-owned Pune Jaguars, Rakul Preet Singh-owned Hyderabad Strikers, Sania Mirza-represented Bengaluru Spartans, and Taapsee Pannu-owned Punjab Tigers.

Apart from being geared up on the tennis court, the organizers will also aim to get things in order on the commercial aspect, as well, leading up to the commencement of yet another enthralling season.
