With less than a fortnight left for one of the biggest international football tournaments in the world- Euro 2020, football fans in India have received good news from Sony Ten Network. The official broadcaster of Euro 2020 in India will be telecasting games in six languages.
The Euro 2020 will be aired live on the Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) channels, which has also arranged a variety of programming initiatives for the tournament in order to bring the pre-eminent events closer to the viewers in India. One such initiative is telecasting the event in numerous languages in order to reach out to a much wider audience in India, with languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
With a rapid escalation in the popularity of football in India during recent years, SPSN will ensure that the fans don’t miss out on the European action by telecasting games on SONY TEN 2, SONY TEN 3, SONY SIX, and SONY TEN 4, along with an additional service on their OTT platform-Sony Liv. These channels will cover all the games played in Euro 2020 starting from June 12, with some of the most exciting matches between Portugal, Germany, and France in Group F.
The sports network will also feature its LIVE Studio Show- Football Extraaa, which will be hosted by Manas Singh and Arpit Sharma. The duo will be joined by a distinguished lineup of panelists, which will include former international footballers like Louis Saha, Luis Garcia, Don Hutchison, David James, Terry Phelan, Mark Seagraves, Ashley Westwood, and Jofre Mateu along with the Indian legend Bhaichung Bhutia and current Indian squad stars like Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Sandesh Jhingan and Robin Singh.

Both the events that will be hosted in Europe and South America respectively will boast a star-studded roster. Euro 2020 will feature superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne, Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski. Meanwhile, Copa America 2021 will also feature top players like Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani, and Paolo Dybala. There were doubts over Copa America going ahead after the withdrawal of Argentina and Colombia as hosts, but CONMEBOL confirmed Brazil as the new host on Monday.
