Cricket Canada announces partnerships with TD Bank Group, O’Neills Sportswear, and Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness

Cricket Canada's partnerships with TD Bank Group, O'Neills Sportswear, and Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness aim at demonstrating a strong commitment to the growth and development of cricket.

Cricket Canada (CC), the national governing body for cricket in Canada, has secured significant partnerships with TD Bank Group (TD), O’Neills Sportswear, and Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness, demonstrating a strong commitment to the growth and development of cricket in Canada.

The multi-year agreement with TD solidifies the bank as the official banking partner of Cricket Canada. This extends to both the Canadian men’s and women’s national teams, with TD branding prominently displayed on playing kits and training gear.

The men’s team will be the first to showcase the new uniforms during the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The partnership’s commitment extends to the women’s national program with sponsorship commencing in 2025, highlighting TD’s dedication to supporting cricket’s growth across all levels in Canada.

Tyrrell Schmidt, Chief Marketing Officer, TD, said, “TD is excited to become the official bank of Cricket Canada. It’s our privilege to be included on the official kits and training gear for the National Teams. We’re proud that the athletes representing Canadian cricket will wear the TD brand in this unique reflection of our exciting new sponsorship. This is an opportunity for us to join the community and cricketers of all ages in their passion and enthusiasm for the game and help Cricket Canada create more milestones together.”

Further strengthening the national program, Cricket Canada announced a partnership with O’Neills Sportswear. This agreement designates the sports apparel manufacturer as the official kit supplier for all Canadian National Cricket Teams.

Phil Murphy, Manager of Business Development for O’Neills Sportswear, said, “This is a significant partnership in the world of cricket as the Cricket Canada brand grows in North America and beyond. We are excited to be the official sportswear partner for Cricket Canada. We look forward to working closely with the organization to create innovative and stylish Canadian kits that reflect their growing passion for the sport. We’ll be cheering on Team Canada at the ICC World Cup in June!”

Finally, Cricket Canada partnered with Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness. This collaboration ensures Canadian cricket athletes have access to high-quality physiotherapy and wellness services, promoting optimal health and performance.

Raj Suppiah, Director of Growth and Co-Founder of Foundation Physiotherapy, said, “This is an exciting time for physiotherapy in Canada, as more up and coming athletes, and the general population seek preventative and rehabilitative care outside of the traditional medical system.”

In February, the governing body announced partnerships with Coca-Cola Canada and BODYARMOR.

These strategic partnerships strengthens Cricket Canada’s commitment to providing its national teams with the resources and support necessary to achieve excellence on the international stage.

Riding high atop the Cricket World Cup League Two table with a perfect 4-0 record, Canada sets their sights on the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. After a series opener loss to co-host USA in their five-match T20 series, they will aim to bounce back in the second T20 on April 9 before facing USA again in the World Cup opener on June 1.
