The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has announced a multi-year sponsorship extension with Valvoline Global, a worldwide leader in automotive and industrial solutions.

In this deal, Valvoline will serve as the official motor oil of the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup and partners of the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Finals. Along with this, Valvoline will also become the official motor oil of the inaugural 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup, which is held every two years, is the region’s premier men’s national team tournament. The first-ever CONCACAF W Gold Cup, which will take place in 2024, will also feature the best women’s national teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean fighting for the title of regional champions. The event draws millions of fans from throughout the region, providing an excellent platform for the Valvoline brand to join the fervour and passion.

Valvoline Global will be the official marketing partner of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2023, in addition to being the presenting partner of the advanced protection player stats after every game. Valvoline Global will be in charge of ‘Extra Time,’ which refers to the extra minutes of play that follow regulation in the first and second halves of each CONCACAF Gold Cup and CONCACAF Nations League Finals match.

Concacaf Chief Commercial Officer, Heidi Pellerano, said, “Valvoline has been a fantastic partner for CONCACAF in previous Gold Cups, and we are thrilled to welcome them back for the 2023 edition. Especially exciting for us is the fact that they are a founding partner of the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup in 2024. This investment demonstrates that they recognize the unbelievable momentum behind the women’s game.

Valvoline is committed to providing our fans with real-time stats during our competitions which only enhances the exhilarating experience of watching your favourite teams battle it out for victory.”

By producing distinctive encounters and offers that draw people together, the alliance will establish a stronger bond with football’s engaged fan base. The Valvoline brand will have an important role throughout the pregame celebrations for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. Furthermore, as part of the agreement, the brand is also partnering with O’Reilly Auto Parts to broaden its appeal to retail consumers through advertising, digital, social, and pre-game activations.

Laura Wright, Director, Brand Equity, Valvoline Global, said, “Our CONCACAF partnership offers Valvoline Global a wonderful opportunity to celebrate world-class athletes. We are excited to kick off this partnership as the official motor oil for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and partners of the CONCACAF Nations League Finals. Valvoline Global is also especially thrilled to play a role in the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup next year – it’s an honor to support and cheer on the women’s tournament in this capacity.”

The 17th season of the tournament will be held between June 16 and July 16, 2023, in 15 stadiums in 14 metropolitan regions in the United States and Canada, and will reward the best national team in the region.
