Chelsea Women begin new journey with Skoda as official car partner

As part of the deal, exclusive content will be shared on Skoda UK's and Chelsea Women's social media platforms.

The Women’s Super League (WSL) team, Chelsea Women have inked a partnership with the Czech automotive manufacturer, Skoda.

As part of the deal, the brand has been named the official car partner of the team.

The news has been revealed before Chelsea Women’s Sunday match against Manchester United Women at the Stamford Bridge, where the team bus will be driven inside the legendary stadium by Skoda’s highly regarded range of all-electric Enyaq SUV and Coupe models. To commemorate the beginning of the exciting new alliance, all vehicles will be decked out in Chelsea blue.

As part of the agreement, Skoda will receive branding at the Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow Stadiums whenever Chelsea Women play. Exclusive material will also be shared on Skoda UK’s and Chelsea Women’s social media platforms, as part of an additional digital activity package.

Furthermore, at the Cobham training facility, players and staff will also have access to Skoda’s all-electric Enyaqs. This applies to Academy players and employees, for whom transport can occasionally be difficult.

As a first step into women’s football, the collaboration demonstrates Skoda’s dedication to women’s sports. The company has also supported professional women’s cycling for a long time by partnering with important cycling events like the Tour de France Femmes.

Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chelsea Women’s Commercial Director, said, “Skoda have shown a passion for and knowledge of our women’s team since we first met them. They perfectly align to the values of our team, and I look forward to seeing the partnership come to life as we both continue to push the boundaries of our brands.”

Kirsten Stagg, Head of Marketing, Skoda UK, said, “Skoda are proud to partner with Chelsea Women, an organisation of true pioneers. From trailblazing coaches and exceptional players, to the charitable work of the Chelsea Foundation and the exciting attacking game which keeps fans on the edge of their seats, this is a club that embraces possibilities and pushes boundaries. At Škoda, we share this philosophy as we aim to be a bold companion to our drivers that gives them the confidence and inspiration to go a little further.

“Like the rest of the nation, I have been personally inspired by the development of women’s football over the past couple of years and I’m excited that Skoda will be able to play its part in further growing the platform with Chelsea Women and encouraging more people to explore what’s possible with their lives.”

Starting this Sunday and going forward, Skoda and Chelsea Women will work together to achieve a common goal of success.
