Cameroon defender Aminou Bouba signs with Gokulam Kerala FC

Bouba has played for Saudi Arabian clubs – Al-Khaleej, Al-Ettifaq, and Al-Tai

Aminou Bouba, the 30-year-old centre-back who has signed with Gokulam Kerala FC has the experience of playing in Cameroon, Tunisia, Algeria, Guinea, and Saudi Arabia plus an added experience of representing both the Cameroon national team and the U/20 team.

Bouba’s professional career started at an early age when he first started playing for Coton Sport de Garoua when he was 20. After playing there for three years, Bouba moved to Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

He later moved to a pretty competitive league by playing in the Algerian league (CS Constantine) and also played for Saudi Arabian clubs – Al-Khaleej, Al-Ettifaq, and Al-Tai. He then decided to move back to his country and played for a Cameroon club Bandjoun.

He had been playing for Guinea club Horoya AC up until now and will be looking forward to playing for Gokulam FC in India.

I am glad to play in India. I have played in different leagues in various countries and I look forward to a successful stint at Gokulam Kerala FC. The club has a huge profile and I would love to contribute to the successes here,” said Aminou Bouba.

He is an excellent player. He is a left-footer and suits our style of play. He has got good international experience both at the club and national level. He has an attacking mind and eye to score goals also. I am so happy that he is here,” said Gokulam Kerala FC Head Coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese.
