Aston Villa onboard Betano as new front-of-shirt partner

The two-year arrangement will see Betano's emblem appear on the front of Aston Villa's men's team jerseys beginning in the 2024-25 season.

The Premier League club, Aston Villa FC have announced a long-term sponsorship association with Betano, a leading online sports betting operator.

As part of the deal, the brand has been named the principal and new front-of-shirt partner of The Claret and Blue.

Following Betano’s UK market debut in cooperation with BVGroup, the two-year arrangement will see the Betano emblem appear on the front of Aston Villa’s men’s team jerseys beginning in the 2024–25 season. This new relationship comes just a few weeks after Betano announced sponsorships for the UEFA EURO 2024 and CONMEBOL Copa America 2024.

Chris Heck, President of Business Operations, Aston Villa, said, “We are delighted to welcome Betano as Aston Villa’s new principal partner. Their dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction and responsible gaming aligns perfectly with the values we hold dear as a club. Aston Villa and Betano share a commitment to excellence, and we look forward to achieving great success together on and off the pitch. This collaboration marks an exciting chapter for both our organisations”.

Kaizen Gaming’s Co-Founder and CEO, George Daskalakis, said, “Aston Villa fans have a lot to be proud of in the Club’s long and illustrious 150-year history. Their passion matched on the pitch by incredible players and management taking the Club on the road to glory makes The Villans one of the most formidable teams in world football today. Aston Villa’s sensational on-field success in the Premier League along with their return to European football matches Betano’s own growth and continuing accomplishments.”

Betano’s sponsorship will enhance Aston Villa’s advantageous social impact, as the organisation has consistently aimed to improve local communities. Through this, the side operates through market-specific joint corporate responsibility programs that, for example, encourage inclusion, enhance healthcare, and increase public awareness of significant social issues.

Recently, Betano also developed a naming rights agreement with Brazilian Serie B. As part of the new arrangement, the sports betting business will implement many fan engagement initiatives, such as LED lighting and pre-match celebrations, while also getting significant brand exposure both on and off the pitch.

Currently fourth in the rankings and with just four matches to go, the Villans will aim to solidify their position and enter the UEFA Champions League next season. The side, under Unai Emery, has won 20 games and is six points ahead of the fifth-team Tottenham Hotspur.
