10club, an e-commerce aggregator has acquired the sport’s equipment and fitness brand Skudgear. The organisation, which is focused on improving small businesses on e-commerce platforms are now slowly shifting towards the sports industry as well. Skudgear is a well-known sports brand that has been founded by Raviteja Visakoti (IIM Kashipur Passout) along with his brother Rithish Visakoti. The duo has another brand together called Rapidotzz which manufactures smartwatch accessories.
Raviteja and his brother were driven by the desire to have their own business and that’s why they didn’t get into corporate jobs. The duo focused on what kind of products to sell and worked tirelessly to build a solid foundation on Amazon. Currently, they have acquired a 2500 square foot warehouse, eight full-time employees and have 400 SKU’s listed on Amazon.
Earlier they were operating from a one-bedroom apartment in Hyderabad but have now come a far way from that. However, the duo is not ready to stop here and want to turn the company into a leading name in sports equipment in India. This is where 10club will come in and help them accelerate the growth. They have the skills to acquire and operate a small scale business and give it the impetus required. They had recently collected $40 million from a seed fund that saw participation from Fireside, HeyDay, PDS International, Class 5 Global, and Secocha Ventures.
One of the key areas 10club will help Skudgear is in Supply Chain Management, which is a hurdle for any small business. Other than that, 10club will also try to increase their volume of business and scourge potential customer markets to expand their product portfolio.
