Tottenham Hotspur announce Citygreen pact to enhance training facilities and sustainability efforts

Citygreen Sports Group has become Tottenham Hotspur's official synthetic turf supplier for the 2024/25 season.

The Premier League (PL) club, Tottenham Hotspur FC have announced a new partnership with Citygreen Sports Group, a global leader in sustainable artificial turf solutions.

The organization becomes Spur’s official synthetic turf supplier for the 2024/25 season. This partnership has signified a commitment to both player development and environmental responsibility.

A key aspect of the collaboration involves the installation of a brand new, environmentally friendly synthetic pitch at the North London club’s training centre in Enfield. Designed to optimize training sessions, the pitch will benefit players across the club’s men’s and women’s academy programs. Additionally, the pitch will be available for community events throughout the year, fostering a strong connection between the club and its local supporters.

Commenting on the association, Paul May, Training Centre Director of Operations, Tottenham Hotspur, said, “It is fantastic to be working with Citygreen for the forthcoming season as we look to further enhance the facilities at our world-class Training Centre. This partnership will help the development of players that visit the campus throughout the year, as well as aligning with our mission to reduce our environmental impact across Club activities.”

The partnership has aligned perfectly with the Lilywhites’ established dedication to environmental sustainability. The sporting entity is a pioneer in sustainable artificial turf manufacturing, specializing in developing eco-friendly and practical green spaces. Their fully recyclable turf adheres to strict International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines, minimizing environmental impact by reducing waste and resource consumption.

The North Londoners are recognized as the PL’s greenest club, and this partnership with Citygreen underscores their unwavering commitment to sustainability.

Founded in 2003, Citygreen Sports Group is a leading manufacturer of artificial turf solutions. As a FIFA licensee, the corporation supplies and installs high-quality, sustainable pitches worldwide. The firm’s expertise extends beyond sports fields, with products suitable for interlocking floors and various other applications. The corporation’s dedication to research and development has solidified its position as a major player in the artificial turf industry.

Following a fifth-place finish in the 2023/24 season, the Spurs will compete in the UEFA Europa League this season. Their Premier League campaign kicks off on August 20 with an away match against Leicester City at 12:30 AM IST.
