The leading French commercial TV network, TF1 has secured the exclusive broadcast rights of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

According to the deal, the French broadcaster will be seen telecasting and giving domestic coverage of all 31 games of the multinational tournament.

The arrangement was signed between CAA Eleven and UEFA’s commercial rights firm for national team tournaments.

Other French broadcasters reportedly toiled very hard to fetch the exclusive rights of the competition, such as France Televisions and M6, but couldn’t meet the demand price of €20 million asked by the apex body of European football.

François Pellissier, Deputy Chief Executive of Sports and Business at TF1, said, “We are very happy to offer women’s competitions wide exposure and to allow them to be followed by as many people as possible. The acquisition of this major sporting event in 2025 once again demonstrates the TF1 Group’s ambition to offer the biggest events free of charge to all French people.”

TF1 is a French commercial television network owned by the Bouygues company and operated by the TF1 Group. It is the most popular domestic network, with a 24% average market share. The French media entity is a member of the TF1 Group, which also includes the news channel LCI.

The 14th edition of the UEFA Women’s Championship will take place in Switzerland, which is tentatively scheduled for July 2, 2025
