Star Sports obtains broadcast rights to Legends Cricket Trophy

Featuring a dynamic 90-ball format, LCT aims to reignite classic rivalries and showcase the enduring talent of cricket icons.

The cricket tournament, Legends Cricket Trophy (LCT) has announced the sports broadcasting entity, Star Sports, as its official broadcast partner. The tournament is scheduled from March 8 to 19 at the Pallakele Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Featuring a dynamic 90-ball format, LCT aims to reignite classic rivalries and showcase the enduring talent of cricket icons.

Commenting on the association, Shavain Sharma, Director, Legends Cricket Trophy, said, “We are thrilled to have Star Sports on board as our broadcaster for the upcoming tournament. With their extensive reach and expertise in sports broadcasting, we are confident that they will bring the excitement and drama of the Legends Cricket Trophy to cricket fans across the world.”

The upcoming edition promises a riveting display of cricket featuring retired legends from across the globe. For 12 days and 22 matches, seven formidable teams will battle it out for supremacy.

Leading the charge for their respective teams are cricketing icons such as Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Aaron Finch, Yuvraj Singh, TM Dilshan, and Robin Uthappa.

Adding an extra layer of glitz and glamour to the proceedings are celebrity brand ambassadors Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Sushmita Sen, Shahid Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt, who are set to enhance the tournament’s allure and appeal.
