Sachin Tendulkar’s Middlesex Global Academy begins operations in Mumbai

Undoubtedly, there is so much Cricket left in the Master Blaster- Sachin Tendulkar, and there is no denying that Tendulkar has left no stone unturned in imparting his cricketing skills to the young cricketers. In order to lend his cricketing acumen to the budding Indians, Tendulkar took a mega initiative earlier in January 2020 when he launched Middlesex Global Academy, its first-ever academy at DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.

The much-awaited training sessions at the same academy will kick off in January 2021, which have witnessed a massive delay due to ranging Coronavirus pandemic. As per the recent reports, the second week of January will mark the commencement of the training sessions.

The young cricketing enthusiasts aged between 7-21 are open to enrol and undertake training in the prestigious academy. In a way, the New Year marks the resuming of physical training, while the technical training for cricket was already continuing via online Zoom sessions through their certified coach. With the beginning of on-ground training, the learners would be trained well under the qualified coaches and have access to world-class sports infrastructure.

The academy is in the sports hub and boasts of latest equipment and amenities required by modern-day cricketers. This idea had hit Tendulkar on reminiscing the guidance that a player needs in his formative years of career, following which he invested in Middlesex Global Academy.
