The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have announced a sponsorship agreement with a global watch manufacturing company, Timex.
Following this deal, the brand has been named the official timekeeper of PBKS for IPL 2024. Timex’s emblem will be displayed on the non-leading side of the team’s trousers as part of the arrangement.
This new partnership was announced on the social media handles of the Shikar Dhawan-led side. The post said, “Stepping up our timing game with 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐱 by our side! 👊 We are delighted to welcome @timex.india as our official timekeeper for #IPL2024. 🤗
Originally established as the Waterbury Clock firm in Waterbury, Connecticut, in 1854, Timex Group USA, Inc. is an American multinational watch manufacturing firm. The business went bankrupt in 1944 but was later reorganised as Timex Corporation. After being purchased by Timex Group B.V. in 2008, the business was rebranded as Timex Group USA.
Before this deal, the side also developed sponsorship pacts with Astral Pipes, KENT, and Advance Decorative Laminates.
PBKS will begin their IPL 2024 journey against Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 23, i.e., Saturday, at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur, Mohali.
