The British motor racing team, McLaren Racing has announced a partnership extension and expansion with the fastest-growing fleet management company, Merchants Fleet.
According to the agreement, Merchants Fleet will also continue to be the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team’s official partner and will also grow to serve as the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team’s official partner for season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Merchants Fleet is one of the fastest-growing fleet management firms in North America. The collaboration with the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team began in November 2021, with the purpose of advancing both businesses’ sustainable journeys and promoting DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
McLaren Racing and Merchants Fleet first collaborated at COP26 and will continue to do so at Merchants Fleet Annual Fleet and Strategic Summits in 2022. McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown and NEOM McLaren Extreme E driver Emma Gilmour discussed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities with Brendan P. Keegan, Chairman, CEO, and President of Merchants Fleet. Zak and Brendan have also recently collaborated on a regular podcast series, Fast & Fearless: Accelerating Leadership, which discusses leadership, growth, and business skills.
With an emphasis on electrification and DE&I, the cooperation will see McLaren continue to support Merchants’ ACCELER8 ESG initiative. Moreover, the Merchants Fleet logo will also continue to be displayed on the NEOM McLaren Extreme E race vehicle and the drivers’ race outfits.
