McLaren Racing expands commercial agreement with OKX

Ahead of the 2024 F1 season, the McLaren F1 car will have OKX's logo feature prominently on its car livery.

The British motor racing team, McLaren Racing has inked an expanded partnership agreement with the leading crypto exchanges by trading volume and a leading Web3 technology company, OKX.

Ahead of the 2024 F1 season, the McLaren F1 car will have the cryptocurrency exchange brand’s logo featured prominently on its car livery. In an effort to deepen their collaboration, OKX’s logo will be on the team’s car and on the side pods of the McLaren F1 livery for 20 races in 2024.

Influenced by the ‘Stealth Mode’ concept that was unveiled in September 2023, the new McLaren car livery for the 2024 season was unveiled on January 16, which featured the OKX branding.

McLaren Racing CEO, Zak Brown, said, “Our partnership with OKX is going from strength to strength and we’ve delivered some fantastic fan activations last season. I look forward to building on that success through this expanded relationship, and to keeping the innovative and forward-thinking OKX brand front and centre in the fast-paced world of Formula 1.”

The goal of OKX and McLaren’s expanded relationship is to unite the rapidly evolving domains of professional motorsport, blockchain, and Web3, with an emphasis on bringing fans closer to innovation, technology, and speed.

Haider Rafique, OKX Chief Marketing Officer, commented, “We are thrilled to be part of the new McLaren F1 Team campaign ‘Whatever It Takes.’ “We love the spirit that McLaren is taking into the 2024 season and we are excited to see that elements from our co-designed livery from Singapore have been integrated in this year’s design. It feels like this will be a special year for McLaren and an epic one for our partnership as well.”
